Earlier in the year, a hotel wanted to upgrade their door locks to ‘online’ so they can use digital keys on their App. With the Ruckus access points they had installed already we added a IoT module, moved the APs to our Hotality cloud-hosted vSZ cloud controller and added the modules to our cloud IoT controller to give them the Zigbee/BLE network they need for the door locks. By using the network already installed they saved the cost of having to install new cabling and switches for the door lock gateways, as well as saving the cost of the gateways themselves.
