We installed a new server in the Shetland Islands last week for the hotel’s PCI compliance logging. We also gave them on-site and off-site backups using HOTBackup.
Other than the early morning start to drive to Southampton Airport for 06:00 the flight up to Edinburgh was painless. After an hour and a half wait in the airport it was time to swap the 21-row plane with an 11-row plane. Clear skies on the way out gave a fantastic view.

I never cease to be amazed at the disparity in broadband and Internet speeds. Sitting in the hotel room I had Internet speeds of 96Mb/sec, but struggle to get more than 3Mb/sec in some parts of Basingstoke. How’s that possible?
